An opinion (Not a research article, Thanks Suhashini akka!) Coming back from injury is always difficult- not only in cricket, in writing as well. What I suffered was a self-inflicted one- laziness (again??!!)- World cup cricket and IPL sponsored laziness (Craziness as a free add on to that)!! You could feel the nervous energy while returning after a long break, need to start from the scratch. Self-doubts would have rusted the confidence. I have the advantage of choosing my own pitch to bat on. So is the easy (hopefully) T20 flat batting wicket – “Why I like Virat more than Sachin!” Virat Kohli – you like him or hate him, but can’t ignore him. I belong to the first category since long time, even before his much talked about bollywood love affair.Tried to recollect, assimilate the reasons… First and the foremost is, his batting. Successful international test match batsmen do need skills, other than perfect batting techniques to survive.
Ok Kadhal Kanmani!

We all had been crazy Mani Rathnam fans when he was at his peak – Nayagan, Mouna Ragam, Agni Natchathiram and Thalapathi – of his creativity. I remember it used to be like a mini festival, whenever those movies got released. Waiting with huge expectations before its release, discussions regarding story, stars and music and once the movie was out, to boast about first day first show, thronging the theatre in big groups, commenting, cheering loudly during the show, making sure others don’t enjoy the show peacefully, standing in the long queues with the unruly crowd– getting a ticket to movie like Thalapathi was tougher than getting a PG seat through All India PG Entrance exam!... Mani Rathnam’s path breaking Style of film making, inspired by Hollywood movies, became a trade mark not only in Kollywood, in Bollywood too. He became a national icon with the massive hits like Bombay and Roja .That image forced him to think at national level when he chose subjects for

"On the road again - Just can't wait to get on the road again. The life I love is making music with my friends And I can't wait to get on the road again. On the road again Goin' places that I've never been. Seein' things that I may never see again And I can't wait to get on the road again. On the road again - Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway We're the best of friends. Insisting that the world keep turning our way" By Willie Nelson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TD_pSeNelU Poetic Early Morning 2 nd November 2014, Sunday: Akash Inn, Shimoga Woke up at 4:30 am. Felt fresh, in spite of previous day’s long journey and late night party. But, I swear, would have felt terrible if I had to go to work- all in the mind! We were on our bikes by 5: 30 am. Still it was dark. Apart from a few brisk walking-health conscious uncles and aunties, hoping to postpone their tryst with destiny, the streets were empty. For a

Short Story Since many of our friends felt sad and traumatized by the true, sad ragging event I have described in my short story, I have decided to share one of my sweet memories of that period. Yes, what you are envisaging is correct, sweet memories can’t be without a girl. I am sure guys, the incident would make you feel jealous of me. This happened when I was in GMKMC- year 1991. I was hardly a week old in that college. Had been undergoing many depressing ragging events at the Hostel. As it happens in a typical masala movie, those sad scenes followed by this romantic incident. Even after 23 years, while writing this, I could feel butterflies in my stomach. Fortunately, in the college campus – Ponni supermarket campus- seniors had to maintain certain decorum, ragging cannot go beyond boundaries. The incident took place on a monsoon day. Weather was fantastic. Just stopped raining. Everything looked so fresh and clean. Gentle breeze was blowing across, soothing every

"What we all want in life, to travel, fall in love and be happy" Sorry for the long hiatus. I was busy for some days and lazy on the remaining. Idleness is an enjoyable disease to indulge in. Escaped from that beautiful beast just before addiction sets in. Bikomaniacs Goa Trip Part-3 October 31 st 2014, 9 am. Chennai- Bangalore: Heavenly Surreal Journey My trance like state at the Yelagiri foothills was brought down to reality by a loud honking passer-by truck. Kick started my stallion and I was trotting on the blissful empty six lane highway. Winter sun was still lazy, slowly jogging behind me. And we both were sluggish and chasing my shadow till noon. Post noon we became brisk and let the shadow behind – chasing us! When you are on a long drive, you tend to have more time for yourself which is so difficult to get, in the fast lane- city life; possible to analyse your life at a distance. Solutions to intricate pro
